Washington DC

The Melrose Hotel 2400 Pennsylvania Ave.

I just returned home from a little vacay out east. It was so nice to spend a couple of weeks with old friends, roommates, their families and of course the randoms that I always meet along the way.
This morning as I was waiting to board my flight at Reagan National Airport I tried to write down all 43 presidents starting with Washington in 1789 and ending with our President Elect Obama now in 09.
I couldn't do it. SAD DAY. aye aye aye. You should try. It will impress me if you can. =) Ask me in two days if I know them...hopefully I will list them off royally.

While it was only a brief visit to DC- it was surely a joy. My dear friend Vanesa and I were able to stay on Pennsylvania Ave. at the Melrose Hotel which was simply lovely. It is at the 2400 block and therefore is within walking distance to Georgetown. Georgetown is a fun place to shop & eat...and there always seems to be something going on in the vicinity. A good friend from College, Kristen Hussa, was able to join us for dinner at Bistro Francais. The conversation was wonderful and very sweet. Kristen proceeded to take us around Washington DC after dinner which turned into a cold- but fun adventure. There is much going on these days in preparation for Obama's inaguration. It was nice to get a feel of what I will most likely be viewing on television or reading on-line.

My sweet friend and her boyfriend. =) Turns out to be quite a great couple. It was a pleasure meeting Jordan Michael Minnick.
Funny, bright and adores my friend Vanesa.

A sweet dinner with Kristen Hussa
Thankful for these two girls.
